For this production at the Reitz Theater the directors Sharon Wallace and Benjamin Fye chose to simulate civil war era portrait photography under my direction. We chose a sepia toning and made an oval vignette reminiscent of the almost standard oval frame of the era. I asked each actor to keep their expression stoic while staring me down, so to speak. The patrons were delighted with the results that hung in the enty parlour. It was a project I throughly enjoyed.
